WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Labor today announced that the Native American Employment and Training Council will meet on June 22 and 23, 2022 at the department’s Frances Perkins Building in Washington from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EDT.

Authorized under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and the Federal Advisory Committee Act, the council is a non-discretionary committee that provides guidance to the Secretary of Labor regarding the operation and administration of Native American programs authorized by WIOA. The council also serves as an advisory body on the implementation of other WIOA programs that provide services to Native American youth and adults.
