WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor has launched a new monthly series of career workshops to provide employment assistance to spouses of transitioning military service members. Of the approximately 200,000 U.S. military service members who transition to civilian life annually, about half have spouses.
Offered by the department’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service, the workshops are part of the Transition Assistance Program series intended to help military spouses to plan and succeed in achieving their employment goals. TAP is a cooperative with the departments of Defense, Education, Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs, the Small Business Administration and the Office of Personnel Management.
Part of the Transition Employment Assistance for Military Spouses’ curriculum, the workshops’ launch follows a successful two-phase pilot that began in 2020. Register now for TEAMS’ September workshops:

VETS’ instructors will lead these virtual workshops at varied times each month to benefit military spouses stationed worldwide. Military installations interested in hosting live, in-person workshops may send email requests to MilSpouse@dol.gov.
